 Related Patches: cx6.1-064

 Related Modification Numbers: None

 Related SARs: None

 Problem Description:
	1) System will go into a run loop when attempting to close a DDN
	    connection to a BBN switch.

	2) Noisy control lines causes the 16c30 on the VCOM34 to send
bad packets up to the LAPB layer.

	3) STREAMS fixes changed the semaphore locking rules.

	4) The latest download modules from SBE are unsupported.

 Resolution Description:
	1) The BBN switches open two half-duplex virtual circuits while
the Nighthawk expects one full-duplex channel. The DDN code
was modified to handle the BBN behavior.

	2) A new download module was generated by SBE which discards the
bad packets generated by the 16c30 UART chip.

	3) The DDN code was changed to conform to the new locking rules.

	4) Merge SBE's 5.3 release.

 Problem Description:
The GPX X server could terminate and restart when any of the locking
keys were pressed. Drawing 16-bit characters incorrectly rotated the
two bytes. Drawing characters outside the range of the font could
    abort the X server.

Also, the GPX X server would not function correctly on a Series 5000.

 Resolution Description:
The first problem, which appeared only on the remote port and only
when running xdm, was due to a momentary loss of carrier initiated
by the keyboard which the operating system identified as a hang-up.
The X server now instructs the operating system to ignore loss of
carrier. The other problems were repaired in the gpx device-specific
text routines in the X server.

This patch also supports the Series 5000, and also has an alternate
keyboard mapping for 106-key Japanese keyboards; to specify the
alternate mapping, use the following in the Xconfig file:
